Nevada Ski Rentals for Less

With the exception of the Elko Snobowl, every resort offers Nevada ski rentals onsite. But before you pay resort prices, there are some tips you should keep in mind to help you save money. After all, the more money you save, the more you can splurge and the longer you can stay on your ski-cation.

Saving Money in Nevada

The best way to save money with Nevada ski rentals is to plan ahead. Waiting until the last minute to figure out your gear situation is going to lead to unnecessary headaches and/or those dreaded resort prices. Book in advance as soon as you know the details of your trip. If you let us help you, we can get you a savings of up to 20 percent. In addition, booking online allows you to shop around and get the best deal possible. By providing a little information about your size and gear preference, you can make things incredibly during the trip itself. Just swing by your chosen Nevada ski rentals location, and be prepared to hit the slopes. No waiting in line, just straight to skiing.

If you’re renting from the resort at the counter, you can be assured that the resort is going to charge you the highest price they can. It’s because they know you’re at the mountain and all you want to do is ski. Before you head to the resort, if you haven’t already gotten your equipment, check in town. There will be shops that will rent to you and save you some money.

Diamond Peak offers an adult ski rental package for $45 for the first day and $35 each additional day. Over a week, that’s going to total to $255. In contrast, The Bike Shop in the Village will rent a performance ski package for $28 per day with the fourth day free. Therefore, a week will cost $168 when renting from there. That’s almost a hundred dollars savings.

Resort vs Store Equipment: Is There a Difference?

When you compare gear that you can get from the resort to the stuff you get from a rental shop, you’re probably wondering if there’s a difference. After all, why are the shops charging less? If you don’t own your gear, you’re probably not going to notice the difference between a pair of Burtons and a pair of Atomics. You’re going to be pleased with your rentals no matter where you choose to get them.

Another aspect of renting is when you rent your helmet. A helmet rental is $10 per day, but the cost of a new helmet is between $50 and $100. If you’re hitting the slopes for more than ten days in your life, then it just makes economic sense to buy your own helmet. Another reason is that helmet rental is not brand-new. It’s been on someone else’s sweaty noggin. Even though they are cleaned, it’s still nicer to use your own.
